Blogspot Comment Spam

I finally noticed that Blogspot now offers word verification to prevent comment spam (which I have had here from time to time).

I have enabled that option. It will still allow you to post Anonymously, but you can use the "Other" option to put your name and website if you wish.

Also related to comments, I have enabled the option for comments to open in a new window. Let me know how if you don't like this.

Finally, I disabled my STLinks integration. It was killing the performance of Firefox for me to view the blog. Things are much faster now with Firefox. If you want to IM me, you can ping me at:

AIM - WhisonantC
GTalk - TopherSSGTP

Speaking of Firefox, it accounted for 27% of the unique visitors to my blog in August and 38% of all views. I would have thought it to be higher!

Explorer - 69%
Firefox - 27%
Safari - 2%
Mozilla - 1%

Glad it's faster now - it just kept getting slower and slower to me so I figured it was the STLinks integration.

Firefox just edges out IE on my blog.

P.S. I prefer the comment box too pop up in a seperate window!

Thanks for the comments! I think I still like the separate window as well, so it's good to know others do too.

So far for September, my numbers are:

IE - 61%
FF - 32%
Safari - 4%

Looks like things are picking up for FF here...
